The Oetker Group  endeavors to make its Website accessible in accordance with the Directive (EU) 2019/882 and the national laws based thereupon. For this
purpose, the following measures are taken to ensure accessibility of the
Website: 

  • Compliance with the relevant accessibility standards
  • ⁠⁠Inclusion of accessibility throughout our internal policies
  • Implementation of an accessibility statement
  • Support for users to contact us to report any accessibility issue

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Website is partially conformant with EN 301 549 which closely follows WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the Website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known problems

The web visitor might be faced with accessibility limitations for certain elements of the user interfaces due to ongoing product enhancements and user interface updates:

Examples:

  • Decorative images are not having alt attribute,
  • pagination links are not descriptive to screen reader,
  • icons missing text alternative,
  • tooltips are not meaningful,
  • close button icon missing accessible name,
  • profile image alternative text needs to modified etc.

Due to ongoing product enhancements and user interface updates it cannot be assured that all elements comply with all accessibility guidelines at any given point in time. As soon as the Oetker-Group identifies such defect, we immediately take measures to get this solved in a timely manner.

Below you can find some tips on how to make the most of accessibility features on our site, no matter which device or browser you are using.

How to Zoom

Windows - Press the Windows key and plus sign (+) at the same time to zoom in. You can also use the Magnifier application which you can locate in the Accessories tab.

Mac - Go to System Preferences and then open Universal Access. Next select the Seeing tab. Check the box under Zoom to use the function.

Appledevices - Tap Settings, then General, then Accessibility. Tap the Zoom button and toggle to On.

How to Change Colors and Fonts

Mozilla Firefox - Choose Options, then Content, then Fonts & Colors to select the most suitable option for you.

Safari - Select Preferences, then the Appearance tab. Click the Select button next to the font fields to change the display.

Chrome - Go to Settings, then Appearance, and then to Customize Fonts. You can then select the font of your choice. Or you can go to Settings, then Themes. Here you can select a high contrast theme from the Chrome Web Store.

How to Use Screen Readers

There are several free options available including NVDA for Windows and VoiceOver for Mac. You can also use applications like JAWS for Windows. All the above are suitable for use with web browsers.
